What type of weather should I expect? The temperature will typically will be 50-60 during the day and cool off considerably towards evening. You should plan to pack several layers of clothing to stay comfortable on your stand when the sun goes down. I shot a bear, now what? After shooting a bear, your guide will track it, dress it, retrive it, weigh it and take you to have it registered at the nearest tagging station. We will skin it, quarter it and freeze it for you. Now you have the remainder of the week to relax. You should plan to bring a large cooler to transport your game safely home. We will wrap your hide and skull for transport or we can recommend a local taxidermist. For an additional fee, we can cut and wrap your game on site. Can you guarantee I will kill a bear? We never guarantee a kill. However, we do promise to make every effort to have you set up in a prime location on an active site. What if I don't see a bear? In the event you either don't see a bear, pass on a smaller bear, or only have a sow and cubs come in by the 3rd night, we will give the option to move to a fresh bait site for the remainder of your hunt. What type of stand will I be hunting in? You will be hunting from a 15' ladder tree stand or a specially designed ground blind. Wade developed and built ground blinds that are a wooden platform structure that sits about 5" high and are roomy and comfortable. You can request either type based your preference. How many hunters in camp each week? We limit the number of hunters to 15-20 each week to ensure each hunter gets individual guidance and support. Will I be on a bait that has already been hunted this season? No. Every hunter is guaranteed to hunt a bait site that has not been hunted this season. Each site is baited for a month prior to being hunted.
